TAM and ANERA worked out together in order to integrate a gender-relevant methodology to confront the “gender gap” in infrastructure in order to contribute to promoting gender equality and empower women , and to meet the needs of gender groups to Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls, and ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

The overall objective for integrating gender into the PCID is to promote gender equality in the Palestinian community this will be achieved by giving gender groups equal opportunities to resources and participation ,gender groups will have opportunity to identify their needs, to participate in the preparation meetings for infrastructure projects rehabilitation and building which is unusual in the Palestinian community as it’s considered a male duty and responsibility, women participation will be enhanced to be effective in the project activities like community gathering meetings, raising awareness workshops and events.
